The latter months of 2014 have been extremely eventful for AYF London. We hosted one of the biggest discussions on Artsakh with the most esteemed panel members. We also held our second annual quiz night, a successful event embodying the merriment and community spirit of Christmas. AYF London also held its AGM, electing a new executive committee for the coming year – ensuring a renewed vigour for the events to come. The new-year will mark the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, and our political vigour will echo that of its members in the past.

The turn of the year also indicates that we will enter the centennial year of the Armenian Genocide – symbolising one of the most important events in the history of the Armenian people. AYF London will be heavily involved in the pan-Armenian political movement for awareness, recognition and reparations for the injustices committed to our people 100 years ago. We will remember those who have suffered from systematic eradication and great destruction to humanity – for the Armenian Genocide marks the first ‘Genocide’ of the 20th century, and was the planning basis for the Jewish Holocaust.

From AYF London Khanasor and the Yeritasard newsletter, we would like to thank you for continuing support and readership and, more importantly, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
